After being established as one of the industry’s premier worship leaders with her Dove Award-winning, self-titled debut, Kari Jobe continues to serve as a worship pastor at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. Kari grew up knowing God was drawing her toward worship. “I remember hearing a worship song that applied perfectly to a family that I knew, and I knew that I wanted to write songs like that for people who are hurting, songs that people make their own prayer to the Lord when they can’t find words of their own.”

SPRING GALA 2012

Local dance school Ballet Foundation is pleased to bring to the stage a collection of performances known as their annual Spring Gala. This year's performances will include three unique offerings. Friday evening will be Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty based on the works of French author Charles Perrault -- a classic fairy tale involving a beautiful princess, enchantment of sleep, and a most handsome prince. Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty ballet premiered at Saint Petersburg in 1890. Rapunzel, Saturday afternoons performance, is based on a German fairy tale in a collection assembled by the Brothers Grimm and first published in 1812 as part of Children's and Househould Tales. The Grimm Brother's story is an adaptation of the fairy tale Persinette by Charlotte-Rose de Caumont de La Force originally published in 1698. And Saturday evening is the Encore 2012 performance, a collection of solo and group dances compilating various forms of dance set to a wide collection of music.
